Well the final weeks are here, very soon our lives will be forever changed. Our family will double in size. These two additions will bring a host of new challenges, experiences and (as most people are quick to add after the laundry list of hardships) joys.
I admit I’m excited and scared. As the time approaches I am mostly excited. I assume this is why God gives new parents 40ish weeks to prepare. Time allows us to get used to the idea of major life change. It allows us to get over our selfishness (or at least reduce it). Time also allows us to prepare our home for increased occupancy, though I admit we are still not completely ready.
Regardless of how ready we are they will be here soon. At the end of the day I’m as ready as I am going to be. After-all I have no idea what this is going to be like. I would be ill prepared of the addition of one much less two. Ready or not, welcome they are!
